Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy governs refunds and cancellations of dealer subscription plans purchased on webuymotorcars.co.za, in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).

1. Subscription Plans

WeBuyMotorcars offers dealer subscription packages billed on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and payments are processed securely via Yoco.

2. Cooling-Off Period (CPA Section 16)

If you subscribed as a result of direct marketing, you have the right to cancel the subscription within 5 (five) business days of the transaction date without penalty and receive a full refund. To exercise this right, notify us in writing at billing@webuymotorcars.co.za within this period.

3. Cancellations After the Cooling-Off Period

  • Monthly subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No pro-rata refund is issued for partial months.
  • Annual subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. A pro-rata refund will be calculated for full calendar months remaining after the cancellation date, less a 10% administration fee.
  • No refund will be issued if your account has been suspended or terminated due to a breach of our Terms & Conditions.

4. How to Cancel

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Log in to your dealer dashboard
  2. Navigate to Subscription & Billing
  3. Click Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts

Alternatively, email billing@webuymotorcars.co.za from your registered email address with the subject line "Subscription Cancellation Request".

5. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Yoco.
  • WeBuyMotorcars is not responsible for delays caused by your bank or card issuer.

6. Service Disruptions

In the event of extended platform downtime (exceeding 72 consecutive hours) caused by us, a pro-rata credit will be applied to your next billing cycle. This does not apply to scheduled maintenance or disruptions caused by third-party services.
